DHAHRAN — The Civil Defense in Al-Kamel governorate evacuated 300 female students and teachers from Al-Kamel Girls Secondary School as a fire gutted books and furniture in the school laboratory. The firefight team managed to put off the blaze and evacuate the teachers and students in a short time. Meanwhile, the administration of the Third Intermediate Girls School in Al-Dhahran evacuated 800 students as fire broke out in one of the air-conditioners due to a short circuit. Khaled Al-Hamad, PR Director at the Education Administration in the Eastern Province, said when the school's administration noticed that smoke was emitting from the a/c it evacuated all the students safely without chaos. He said maintenance teams from ARAMCO repaired the short circuit. — SG
