This pipe is part of a giant project being carried out by a foreign company to pump desalinated water to a number of governorates and centers in Asir province. The workers got trapped while they were working inside the pipe. They were surprised by the flowing water as they had not been warned by the company carrying out the project, especially because the contractor had not handed over the project to the Ministry of Water. Due to the quick response of the Civil Defense, one of the openings to the pipe was broken and the trapped workers were rescued.
