Fatima Muhammad Saudi Gazette HAVANA – Saudi Arabia's pavilion, featuring more than 400 books mostly in English and Spanish, has won the first prize at the Havana International Book Fair in Cuba. Saudi Ambassador to Cuba Saeed Bin Hassan Al-Jumaie received the coveted award. The pavilion displayed scientific and cultural publications issued by the Ministries of Higher Education and Culture and Information, Imam Mohammed Bin Saud Islamic University, King Saud University, King Abdul Aziz Public Library and King Fahd National Library. Copies of the Qur'an translated in Spanish language were also distributed among visitors. Three Cubans announced their reversion to Islam in the pavilion after reading some of the Islamic books. The pavilion also had a special corner for children's books, drawings and entertainment. The Saudi painter and calligraphe, Osman bin Mohammed Al-Khozaim, who attended the exhibition wrote the names of a number of visitors in big Arabic letters which made them happy and appreciate Al-Khozaim's work.
