Amouage has opened its first standalone shop in Le Chateau Mall, Jeddah. The two-storey shop houses Amouage's ever-expanding product range that includes fine fragrances in addition to collections for home, bath & body, fine leather goods and travel accessories. “Our performance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to grow year-on-year and we believe that now is the right time for us to establish our own retail environment that presents the purest expression of the brand DNA,” said David Crickmore, CEO of Amouage. “Saudi Arabia is a high potential market for a brand such as Amouage. The people not only have a deep affinity for fragrance but also an appreciation for uncompromising standards of quality and luxury.” In addition to the new shop in Le Chateau Mall, Amouage is available at a number of shop-in-shops in Gazzaz and Paris Gallery in Jeddah in addition to Harvey Nichols and Saks Fifth Avenue in Riyadh. Since 2010, Amouage has centered its efforts on extending beyond wholesale distribution to develop the brand further with standalone shops. Le Chateau Mall represents Amouage's 13th mono-brand store around the world with another eight planned for 2013 in key opinion forming cities. Designed by JHP in London under the direction of Amouage Creative Director Christopher Chong, the new shop embodies the House's philosophy of artistry in perfumery, boasting elegant, clean-cut ivory-style furnishings and a gold leaf Murano glass wall feature. Amouage's signature jacquard is exquisitely carved into some of the fixtures as an expressive representation of the brand's timeless sophistication. The lounge on the second floor offers guests a sense of privacy to indulge and fully experience the brand in complete comfort and style. – SG
