DUBAI – Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd unveiled its new line of products – from UHD TV, F8000 LED TV, ‘ecobubble' washer, innovative refrigerator to NX300 camera ad 45mm F1.8 lens and Series 7 Chronos, among others – at the Samsung 2013 Forum held at Grand Hyatt in Dubai on Monday.
Speaking at the launch, Kyung-tae Bae, president of Samsung Electronics in Middle East and Africa, said it has been the most successful year in Samsung's history. He said Samsung tripled its sales over the last three years and witnessed a 65 percent growth rate, as well as securing the number one position in the region. With Samsung, you can “discover a world of possibilities,” he noted.
Samsung highlighted the need for Smart Education in the era of e-learning. Samsung will be equipping five demonstration classes in four countries with note PCs, e-boards and mobile solutions offering more than 6000 online textbooks
Samsung's SAFE program consists of security standards that help companies to find mobile devices that are safe to use and provides immediate business benefits such as device based verification and other data features to remove concerns about the collapse of the Android.
Mohammad AlBadawi, a Samsung speaker told Saudi Gazette, “whenever Samsung considers launching a new product, they consider three pillars, it should be the only, the first and the most unique.” Samsung has been the leader in television sales for seven years.
Samsung announced its new S9 85-inch Ultra High Definition TV will be available from the second quarter starting in the UAE. Samsung's exclusive engine can up-convert HD or Full-HD to UHD-level picture quality by restoring detail information to create greater precision and real-life picture quality.
The Timeless Gallery design of the S9 raises the standards of luxury television design. The TV appears to be floating within its minimalistic frame with a large display. “It is six times better than a regular TV.”
David Butorac, CEO of OSN, said partnership with Samsung has strengthened their position by being able to broadcast their content through Samsung electronics.
He said OSN has been the front-runner in the industry and is the only one to offer HD content and experience. “HD content continues to drive customer satisfaction. We broadcast 36 HD channels.” He said TV viewership is on the rise. He said to be one step ahead, OSN has created a virtual environment for their customers, which enables them to interact and engage with the linear TV experience.
The new Smart Hub organizes viewer's content into a clear menu enabling a faster approach to discovery and a better experience.
Viewers can use their devices as a remote control or to simultaneously enjoy different content from their TV or Blu-ray player on a second screen. If consumers want to access Samsung's smart TV offers, including quad-core CPU power, they can utilize the new 2013 Evolution Kit.
The new Samsung refrigerator RT38 powered by Samsung's Digital Invertor Conpressor comes with a ten-year warranty. It offers maximum control and space usage with features like MoistFresh zone and its multi storage basket that provides five liters of storage space.
