Saudi Gazette report DAMMAM — Some 240 unemployed women graduates are planning to file a lawsuit against the Ministry of Civil Service for the delay in hiring them. All the women are teachers by profession. Amr Al-Azyarbi, a lawyer, said that he has started the procedures to file the petition on behalf of some 200 women. “The graduates' grievance is that they have been waiting for jobs for a long time even though their classmates and juniors have already been absorbed. Therefore, they are seeking immediate appointment,” Al-Sharq newspaper reported quoting Al-Azyarbi as saying. Meanwhile, 42 women teachers gathered in Riyadh on Monday to protest the long delay in employing them. Teachers from Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah too joined the gathering in Riyadh and demanded immediate execution of a royal order for their appointment. Suzan Al-Ghamdi, one of those present at the gathering, said that she graduated in education from the Umm Al-Qura University 19 years ago. “I have been waiting for a job all through these years but failed to secure one,” she said. Similar is the case of Saad Al-Harbi, who graduated 15 years ago. They have appointed a lawyer to file a lawsuit in the Court of Grievances against the ministry.
