Muhammad Al-Fal Okaz/Saudi Gazette DAWADMI – No one would have imagined that a small conservative city like Dawadmi, 300 kilometers away from Riyadh, could have a plastic art movement that is 35 years old. Ali Al-Dehaim, a pioneer sculptor, said the movement has focused on sculpture since its inception and produced several sculptors who have participated in numerous local and global sculpture events. Al-Dehaim represented the Kingdom in numerous events locally and internationally. His works have been on display in Italy, France, Lebanon, to name but a few. He said women have recently ventured into this art and proven that they are as competent as their male counterparts. One of the problems male and female sculptors have in this small city is that they do not have their own club. Al-Dehaim offered his house as a meeting place for the city's sculptors.
