PITTSBURGH — Sidney Crosby and Chris Kunitz each had a goal and two assists, and the Pittsburgh Penguins picked up their first home victory of the season, beating the New Jersey Devils 5-1 Saturday. Penguins defenseman Robert Bortuzzo scored his first NHL goal, Brandon Sutter got his first with Pittsburgh and Kris Letang also found the back of the net for the Penguins, who handed the Devils their first loss in regulation this season. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 15 shots for the win, while Evgeni Malkin and Pascal Dupuis had two assists apiece. Andy Greene scored a short-handed goal for the Devils. Martin Brodeur was sharp through two periods, stopping 17 of 19 shots, but allowed three goals in the third as the Penguins turned a one-goal game into a rout. The Bruins (6-1-1) limited the Leafs to 21 shots and killed off two penalties in the last nine minutes to hang on to beat Toronto (4-4). Flyers 5, Hurricances 3: Claude Giroux and Danny Briere each had a goal and an assist to help Philadelphia beat Carolina. Kurtis Foster, Brayden Coburn and Mike Knuble also scored for the Flyers, who won for just the third time in nine games. Joni Pitkanen, Eric Staal and Patrick Dwyer had Carolina's goals. Blue Jackets 4, Red Wings 2: Artem Anisimov scored twice in the second period, and Steve Mason stopped 32 shots to lead Columbus past Detroit. Blackhawks 3, Flames 2, SO: Marian Hossa scored the tying goal with 2.3 seconds left in the third period, and Patrick Kane added a goal and then had the shootout winner in Chicago's victory over Calgary.
