RIYADH – The world's first 84 inches Ultra High Definition (HD) 3D TV was launched here by LG Electronics, the global leader in communications & innovative products, in cooperation with United Yousef Mohammad Naghi Co, the distributor of LG Electronics Home Appliances& Consumer Electronics. LG's 84-inch Ultra HD TV was the winner of the “Best of Innovations” in the Video Display category at the 2013 International CES® Innovations Awards. LG was the first company to successfully commercialize Ultra HDTV technology, introducing the immersive set for sale to the public in August of this year. “LG continues to lead the way in the Ultra HD TV segment,” said John Lee, President of LG Electronics. “We are extremely proud of this series as a whole and the ‘Best of Innovations' award bestowed on our 84-inch UHD TV by the CEA.” B.W Park, Managing Director of United Yousef Mohammad Naghi Co. Ltd, said that the Ultra HD TV has the advanced Triple XD Engine. This exceptional picture processing technology creates astonishingly vivid images, with 8 million pixels per frame, four times the resolution (3840x2160) of Full HD TV panels. Additionally, the Resolution Up scalar Plus takes content of lesser image quality and render sit in high detail. Dae Yun Lee, the Marketing Manger at LG Electronics, Seoul, LCD TV Middle East marketing group and LCD TV MEA marketing team, told Saudi Gazette that the Kingdom was the second Arab country after UAE to witness the launch of this TV. “According to our policy, we did not want to launch it here earlier until we were sure that the product is on electronic dealer shelves at the launch time, “ he said. LG's Ultra HDTV also features a 2.2 Sound System. Consisting of two 10W speakers and two 15W woofers, the sound system produces a lush audio experience that perfectly complements the extraordinary onscreen visuals; creating a true theater-like experience in the home.
