MANILA — For the first time, Vina Morales and Carmina Villaroel are appearing together in a project: “May Isang Pangarap” (One Dream), ABS-CBN's new afternoon series. The show, which had originally been scheduled for primetime, begins airing on Monday. The story follows former singer Karina, played by Morales, who takes in the orphaned street kid named Julia, who is yearning for maternal love. In pursuing a singing career, Karina is estranged from her family, and her daughter Larah grows up not knowing her. Larah is brought up by her father, also a singer, and she finds a mother figure in Nessa, played by Villaroel. Larah Claire Sabroso from Davao City and Julia Klarisse Base from Manila landed the lead roles after winning in a talent search last year. — SG
