MANILA — Rachel Alejandro returns to television with a guest appearance in a new ABS-CBN series. In “May Isang Pangarap” (One Dream), which has started shooting, the singer-thespian plays an erstwhile rival of Vina Morales' character. Alejandro said that the producers wanted many stars for the show's opening to be grand. She also said she had taken a break from TV because the nature of work was taxing for her singing voice. Alejandro topbilled the Broadway hit “Avenue Q” in its Singapore run last year, along with other Filipino stage actors. She will appear in a local staging of another Broadway adaptation, “Rock of Ages,” slated for July 2013. — SG
