RIYADH — The National Commercial Bank (NCB) will make available 35 dialysis machines to various government hospitals in the central, northern and southern regions of the Kingdom. The NCB has signed an agreement with Prince Fahd Bin Salman Charitable Society for the Care of Kidney Patients in this regard. The leading Saudi bank has so far made available 223 dialysis machines and four mobile intensive care units, according to an NCB press statement. The bank has also provided training on first aid and emergency medical services to some 33,502 Saudi citizens. A total of 607,685 people from 177 cities an?d villages have benefited from these services. The NCB move is significant as the number of kidney patients in the Kingdom is increasing at a rate of 9 percent annually. — SG
