Riyadh police nab burglary suspects

RIYADH — Undercover police in Riyadh arrested two burglars in the Al-Shafa neighborhood in west Riyadh. Police had received reports of a series of burglaries in the neighborhood and formed a team to investigate. A police patrol managed to locate a car that matched the description they had been given. The car driver noticed the patrol team and tried to flee. The car was pursued and the driver arrested, while his companion managed to escape. However, the driver led police to his companion. The pair confessed to burgling many houses and were found to be carrying a gun. The suspects and the car were taken to Al-Suwaidi police station for further investigations.
