Sharp unveils world's largest single panel professional LED display in Saudi Arabia
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 29 - 12 - 2012

Sharp Middle East officially unveiled Thursday its 90 Inch, flagship professional display in Saudi Arabia, with the unit completing the company's range of LED screens.
The 90 Inch LED display is the world's largest single panel professional display and the unit completes the full professional display line-up in ultra-large sizes from 60 Inch to 108 Inch. The region was given a first look at the screen in October at InfoComm 2012 in Dubai, but today's unveiling was the 90 Inch's debut in Saudi Arabia.
“As the largest addition to Sharp's continually growing large-screen professional portfolio, and offering size and scale unlike any other LED display to date, this 90-inch LED monitor is at the forefront in the industry of commercial displays,” said Tomoo Shimizu, Director, Business Solutions Division, Sharp Middle East.

“With a growing demand in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East for versatile, large-size LED displays, we are committed to providing solutions which meet these criteria. Working closely with our partners in Saudi, we are able to bring class-leading, value-adding solutions like the 90 Inch LED to our customers and we are looking forward to introducing more of our innovative products in 2013.”
Expanding the boundaries of large screen displays, the sleek, new LED display offers customers unbeatable image quality, high-brightness, contrast and energy savings. It is designed to meet growing demand for larger monitors from retail, transport, exhibition/museum sectors and their applications can be found in meeting rooms, control rooms and in digital signage. The screens deliver high-quality performance across key benchmarks.
The new unit can be mounted portrait or landscape, and is easier to install with significantly less weight than similar-size plasma displays and it has numerous connectivity and control options.
Resolution is full HD (1920x1080) with high brightness across the display; the display achieves high contrast ratio through local dimming technology with actively switched the tiled backlight of the display depending on the content.
Sharp is not only showcasing the ultra large size monitors, but also focusing on versatility with some of its first look products for the region.
At the launch, Sharp also showcased one of its future technological advancements, the 19.5-inch touch monitor. The new touch monitor utilizes Microsoft Windows 8 operating system to combine with a 10-point touch screen function to provide a wide range of industry applications. — SG
