ISTANBUL – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a market leader and award-winning innovator in consumer electronics, showcased its diverse array of new products at the Samsung Middle East and North Africa Regional Forum last week in Istanbul.
Embracing its new guiding philosophy of "Pushing Boundaries", the company shared its strategy to expand globally and deliver connectivity and content across multiple devices - from TVs to mobile phones, tablets to Notebook PCs and cameras to home appliances.
"More than ever, consumers are leading dynamic lifestyles that require technology to enrich and accommodate their lives," said Kyung Tae Bae, President of Samsung Electronics Middle East and North Africa. "We will achieve this through new product innovations, continued investment in research and development, and by driving corporate and social responsibility programs in the Middle East and North Africa region."
In 2011, Samsung Electronics achieved record sales of $143 billion. In the Middle East and North Africa alone, and despite the turbulent times, the company achieved a growth of 44 percent.
"Our strategy for growth in Middle East and North Africa and around the world will be to focus on B2B and becoming a holistic solutions provider," Bae said. "We will create a dedicated B2B organization with localized solutions, targeting fields such as banking, insurance, healthcare and education with products linked to business aspirations such as mobility, security, analytics and data."
Additionally, Samsung launched a worldwide CSR platform, Samsung Hope for Children, supporting this initiative in 12 countries within the Middle East and North Africa region.
For 2012, Samsung has pushed the boundaries of home entertainment to meet the needs and challenges of its consumers. The company has unveiled its 2012 product innovations under three guiding pillars: Smart Interaction, Smart Content and Smart Evolution. The new family of products offers more content, smarter interfaces, intuitive controls, incredible picture quality and stunning design.
The ES8000 LED TV features the slim bezel Samsung first introduced in 2011, complemented this year by a new matching arch flow stand and an increased screen size of up to 75 inches. Inside, a dual-core processor powers the ES8000, allowing users to multitask by surfing the web while using or downloading multiple apps simultaneously. A variety of content is also available through Samsung Apps, the industry's preferred TV apps platform.
Both the Samsung ES8000 Smart LED TV and ES7500 Smart LED TV series offer cutting-edge technologies that deliver clear images in both 2D and 3D. The ES8000's Micro Dimming Ultimate analyses the picture in hundreds of pieces to optimize the LED backlight and video signal for each piece in real time, by increasing peak whites in areas of lower gradation. This leads to an overall 20 percent increase in brightness and allows home entertainment enthusiasts to enjoy richer colours, brighter pictures and higher contrast ratios. The technology also eliminates the halo effect and image distortion associated with diffused light.
The ES8000 and ES7500 LED TVs encompass Samsung's three guiding philosophies that equip consumers with the future of Smart TV technology.
