JEDDAH — EFS XI blanked Sedco XI 3-0 in a keenly contested final to win the second in-house Jeddah Sports Club (JSC) Academy tournament here recently. Captain Nabeel Hyder, Sahal Saheer and Adil Ashraf were the scorers. Sahal Saheer was named the Player of the Tournament and Anas Basheer Most Promising Player. Other awards went to Marwan Saleem (Best Goalkeeper), Nadeem Sudhir (Best Defender), Nabeel Hyder (Best Midfielder), Rashad Abdullatif (Best Striker), Adil Ahmed, Basil Basheer & Fawaz Ismail (Top Scorers with 6 goals each), Mazin Saleem, Basil Nazar (Players of the Final). SIFF President Hifsur Rahman presented the Trophy to the winning side. He later unveiled an in-house magazine. Tamer clinched the exhibition match trophy. B.W. Park, Managing Director of United Yusuf M. Naghi Co. Ltd. - LG Electronics KSA, was the chief guest of the closing ceremony. Park in his speech praised JSC Academy for giving the youths an opportunity to use their energy and in-born soccer talent. Khaled Al-Tayyab, General Manager of APSCO/MOBIL1, Najeeb Kalappadan, Managing Director of EFS Logistics, Abdul Salam K.P., former president of SIFF and Managing Director of Alpha Cargo Services, were also present. JSC chairman Kannur Abdul Rafeeq welcomed the guests.
