JEDDAH — Bangladeshi social and cultural organization (JASAS) organized a celebration of their country's 41st Liberation Day at a local restaurant in Jeddah. Expatriates from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India and other countries attended the event chaired by Habib Sarker, JASAS president, Rafiqul Haque Chowdhury, Abdur Rob Bhuiyan, M.A. Choyon, Nurul Amin, Salim Reza, Shah Jahan, Manik Tati, Khaleque Gazi, Ripon, Lovlu Dhali, Bashar Mollah, Anwar Bepari, Jahangir Hossian Gazi and H.K. Humayun attended. JASAS president welcomed the attendees, adding “I hope the economy of Bangladesh will improve soon. The Bangladesh government always gives weight to expatriate Bangladeshi all over the world, especially from Middle East”. Chowdhury expressed pleasure with the initiatives of the current government, specially their economic initiatives. “Therefore our expectation of the Alliance Government to look after us might not be in vain,” he added. The Chief Guest Al Hajj Abdur Rahman, Chairman of Al Amin Group said in his speech, “I am very pleased about this initiative of celebrating this occasion with other countries in the Kingdom. I am hoping that you'll continue to be united and prosper in future. I urge you all to follow the laws of the Saudi government.” A cultural program by Heera and Panna Black Rock Cultural concluded the evening.
