JEDDAH — Prince Mansour Bin Miteb, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Wednesday inaugurated the Khaleej Salman (Salman Bay) residential neighborhood project to construct 25,000 housing units on the city's Durrat Al-Arous Road. The project will be carried out on an area of three million square meters. Prince Mansour, who unveiled the memorial plaque at the event organized by Jeddah Development and Urban Regeneration Company, said the project will satisfy the needs of a large section of the citizens in Jeddah governorate. Dr. Hani Muhammad Abu Ras, Mayor of Jeddah and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the organizing company, said the project will meet the requirements of all segments of the society. Prince Mansour directed all those carrying out the project to speed up work and adhere to the deadline. He said the Khaleej Salman project would set an example for the planned neighborhoods in other cities of the Kingdom. He said many countries have implemented the idea of city neighborhoods that have contributed in urban development. — SPA
