MANILA — The stars are in alignment for a big-screen outing to be headlined by two of the Philippines' biggest actresses. Plans to bring veteran actresses Nora “Ate Guy” Aunor and Vilma “Ate Vi” Santos, respectively the Superstar and Star for All Seasons of the Philippine showbiz industry, have been confirmed by Cannes award-winning director Brillante Mendoza as early as June. Santos, who is also governor of Batangas province, said that she was definitely excited over the project. She told ABS-CBN News, “Sabi ko nga, importante lang ‘yung good script, at the same time, ‘yung right timing. (As I said, it's important to have a good script, at the same time, right timing.)” The erstwhile rivals will be joined by Coco Martin in the planned film. — SG
