MANILA, Philippines – It seems Luis Manzano no longer needs to ask for his mother, Batangas Governor Vilma Santos' permission to tie the knot since he is already of age and “mature enough.” “Noon lang naman kasi sinasabi ko [sa kanya] enjoy life and know your limitations. ‘If you're not ready, don't take the risk,'” she recalled what she used to tell Luis when he was younger. The only reservation she has on the matter is if Luis ends up getting into a situation he doesn't like. “Kasi ang mahirap baka naka-disgrasya ka na, nakita mo ang totoo, eh mahihirapan ka [ng makalabas],” noted the Star for All Seasons. Which is why she admitted to have had constantly advised him before to just “take your time, enjoy it, but know your limitations.” But at 31 and with a couple of relationships and experiences under his belt, Vilma declared that her son is “ready.” Luis is currently in a relationship with actress-host Jennylyn Mercado, who, according to Vilma, is making her son “very happy.” Meanwhile, Luis has reported via Twitter that his CT scan has turned out to be normal.
