Georgina Wilson apologizes to Nora Aunor

MANILA — Georgina Wilson has quickly apologized to veteran and multi-awarded actress Nora “Ate Guy” Aunor over a Twitter photo that enraged the Superstar's die-hard fans.
The 26-year-old Filipino-British model-VJ posted the digitally altered Esquire magazine photo of Wilson's body with 59-year-old Aunor's face superimposed on it. She said she did so because her stylist, a big Ate Guy fan, found the photo amusing.
However, it did not go very well with the Superstar's loyalists, called Noranians, who were expressly offended.
After the backlash, Wilson tried to explain: “A fan sent it to me and I felt it would be neat. I thought it was funny. What I find cute and funny can be offensive to others. ... It's more of a tribute to Nora. (But) I'm very sorry if I offended Nora and her fans. I won't offend an institution in showbiz.” — SG
