JEDDAH — A baby died 14 days after birth at Al-Thaghr Hospital in Jeddah due to a lack of oxygen supply to her brain during birth. The father blamed the attending doctor for being 20 minutes late in attending to his wife. He raised his complaint with the health directorate, and has refused to complete the required procedures until investigations are carried out. Dr. Naser Al-Jihani said investigations are under way and preliminary findings point to the baby inhaling amniotic fluid.
