RIYADH – A Saudi Royal Air Force aircraft crashed at King Faisal Airbase in Tabuk while on a routine training mission, a source at the Ministry of Defence has confirmed. The pilot, a member of the Saudi Hawks Team, was able to parachute to safety and was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. The plane appeared to suffer from technical problems when approaching the airbase's runway, the source said. The source said Defence Ministry authorities have formed a technical team to investigate the accident. — SPA
