Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH – Ebsar Foundation, a non-profit private organization that provides rehabilitation services for the visually impaired, issued an apology to 31 patients currently on its waiting list who it will no longer be able to help, Al-Hayat newspaper reported. The secretary-general of the foundation, Mohammad Tawfeeq Bello, said Ebsar has faced a number of challenges including depleted financial resources. Bellow said eye operations can cost up to SR300,000, adding that the foundation spent more than SR2.4 million last year treating 562 persons. The foundation has several agreements with a number of hospitals, which bear 25 to 50 percent of the costs. The services offered by the foundation cover all kinds of eye operations.
