MANILA — Maricel Soriano is making a primetime TV comeback via the ABS-CBN drama series “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin” (I Will Love You Tomorrow) after a hiatus from showbiz. The move is also a homecoming of sorts for the veteran actress, dubbed the Diamond Star, who has done other projects for rival networks GMA and TV5. She signed the new contract with ABS-CBN on Monday. Her last “Kapamilya” project was 2009's “Sineserye Presents: Florinda” and headlined the film “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” in 2011. “Bukas” co-stars Gerald Anderson, Cristine Reyes, Diana Zubiri, Tonton Gutierrez, and Dina Bonnevie. Although the new series is dramatic, Soriano said she would consider doing sitcoms again. The 47-year-old actress topbilled a long-running late 90's sitcom with Cesar Montano titled “Kaya ni Mister, Kaya ni Misis.” She also starred in the sitcoms “Mary D' Potter” in 2001 and “John en Marsha” from 1973-1989. — SG
