Helen Gamboa floored by Best Actress award

MANILA — Helen Gamboa felt “honored” and “ecstatic” after winning the Best Actress award for her work on TV.
The PMPC Star Awards for Television named her Best Actress for her performance in the ABS-CBN primetime series “Walang Hanggan,” which recently concluded.
The veteran actress was at a loss for words when asked how she felt following the win.
“I am so honored. I am so ecstatic. (I'm very happy.) This is my first award. (Of course I was overwhelmed. I don't know what to say, only that) it is an honor winning this award,” she told ABS-CBN News in an interview.
Gamboa was tied with another veteran actress, Superstar Nora Aunor, who also won Best Drama Actress for the TV5 series “Sa Ngalan ng Ina.” — SG
