RIYADH — Saudi actor Hasan Asiri has denied that he attacked an Egyptian barber who was criticizing Saudi policies and blaming the Kingdom for troubles in Egypt. The reports — which claimed that Asiri attacked the barber at a hotel in Cairo where the actor was getting a haircut — widely circulated on social networking sites and e-newspapers. Asiri told Al-Watan newspaper that these reports were mere fabrications. He said that these networking sites do not verify reports before publishing them. “I am currently in Jeddah, and have not travelled to Cairo lately,” he said. — SG
