CAIRO — Saudi comedy actor Hasan Asiri was arrested in Cairo on Wednesday after an alleged altercation with an Egyptian barber critical of the Kingdom, Arreyadi newspaper reported. While the actor was getting a haircut at a famous hotel in Cairo, the barber started criticizing Saudi policy and blaming the Kingdom for troubles in Egypt, witnesses told the newspaper. Asiri repeatedly asked the barber to stop but he refused, they added. Asiri then lost control and attacked him. It is believed that Asiri will appear in court and might be asked to pay compensation to the barber. According to the report, he was released after posting bail. — SG
