Prof. Adnan Zahed, KAU's Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, with the two visiting astronauts in Jeddah. — Courtesy photo JEDDAH — In cooperation with the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), King Abdulaziz University here received two astronauts, Tom Henricks from US and Yuris Usachev from Russia, last Wednesday. The two astronauts were received by Prof. Adnan Zahed, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the university. The visiting astronauts met with a number of deans, faculty members and a several students, and gave a brief lecture sharing their space experience, which was well received by the attendees who appreciated the benefits of such visits. The importance of such events with distinguished scientists helps to achieve the objectives of the development in the field of scientific research, and forge partnerships in the development of the educational process and scientific progress of the institution. — SG
