Mishal Al-Otaibi Saudi Gazette RIYADH – The so-called King of Al-Nazeem, a notorious car-drifter, has been arrested recently in Riyadh. He had been keeping a low profile since Ramadan after he fired in the air while drifting with his car in Riyadh. A YouTube video showing him shooting in the air while drifting with his car went viral during the holy month. He was arrested with some young men inside a house in east Riyadh. A stolen car, arms and ammunition were found inside the house and confiscated by police. It is believed that he and his friends robbed several businesses for funds to practice his pastime. Lately, many drifters have emulated him and engaged in drifting while firing in the air. A bystander was killed in a similar incident at in Al-Owaired in the Eastern Province recently. Three people were arrested in connection with that incident. Eastern Province police spokesman Ziyad Al-Reghati said officers from the Eastern Province and Riyadh police worked together to track down the suspects after the victim died during the drag race in Al-Owaired.
