Saeed Al-Bahis Okaz/Saudi Gazette DAMMAM — A Qatif judge has described Sunday's attack on his house as a cowardly act committed by misguided individuals bent on damaging people's properties and public installations. A spokesman of the Eastern Province police said the Tarout police control room in Qatif received an alert in the early hours of Sunday of an attack on the house of judge Sheikh Mohammad Al-Jerani. An investigation team from the Qatif police attended the scene and found the houses windows broken. The officers are continuing the investigation. Al-Jerani said the perpetrators do not represent Qatif's citizens who have assured their loyalty to him in many situations. They live in harmony and peace while enjoying full freedom of thought and expression. “The aggressive acts are isolated and carried out by perverts who do not represent any groups. Qatif is a part of this country, and the majority of Qatif citizens denounce such acts,” Al-Jerani said. He called on these frivolous individuals to fear God for the sake of their society and country. He exhorted them to understand these acts that are not part of their society. “Their actions constitute a huge loss to them and their society, as the country's security is a red line that cannot be crossed,” he added. Anonymous individuals had jumped into Al-Jerani's house in Al-Rabi'eyah district, Tarout island, and broke his front door glass in an attempt to break in, but fled upon the arrival of the security patrols. Police cordoned off the house and conducted security sweeps across the district after the attack.
