Hasan Mahhah Okaz/Saudi Gazette JAZAN — A convicted murderer heaved a huge sigh of relief as his execution was deferred at the last minute. The execution was put off to enable the reform committee (Islah) to mediate a pardon with the family of the female victim. The province's Islah, with the follow up of Prince Mohammad Bin Naser Bin Abdu Aziz, was successful in postponing the execution of the convict at Jazan general penitentiary. The head of prisoners' welfare committee (Trahum) in Jazan governorate, Ali Za'lah, said that the committee succeeded in delaying the execution until an agreement is reached for his pardon. He added that there are 25 cases of various nationalities awaiting execution. Two of them are women, he said.
