RIYADH – Standing on Arafat will be on Thursday, Oct. 25, and the first day of the blessed Eid Al-Adha will be on Friday, Oct. 26, announced the Supreme Court Tuesday. The lunar month of Dhul Hijjah will start on Wednesday, Oct. 17, in accordance with what has been reported to the Supreme Court by courts and committees in charge of sighting the crescent of the lunar month of Dhul Hijjah. Prince Ahmad Bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Haj Committee, will inspect Saturday evening the preparations for this year's Haj season, according to a statement issued by the Director of Public Security General Saeed Bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani. Already some 1.4 million pilgrims from 160 countries have arrived for Haj. – SG/SPA
