Acer expands Windows 8 upgrade refund promotion

ACER has expanded its Microsoft Windows 8 upgrade refund promotion to include selected Notebooks and Desktops. Specifically, the promotion will now include Acer Aspire Notebooks, Acer Aspire Desktops originally supplied with Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate. It will also include Acer TravelMate Notebooks and Veriton Desktops that were originally supplied with Windows 7 Home Basic or Windows 7 Home Premium.
This part of the promotion is valid for eligible products purchased between Oct. 1, 2012 and Jan. 31, 2013.The special promotion is also valid during GITEX Shopper Week for eligible purchases made from Acer retails partners at the show from Sept. 29.
In June, Acer introduced a unique promotion, offering to refund the cost of the official online Microsoft Windows 8 Upgrade on all Acer Ultrabook purchased between June 2, 2012 and Jan. 31, 2013.
Acer has set up a dedicated webpage to guide customers through the promotion (www.acer.com/windows8upgrade). The promotion offers to refund the customer for the cost of the official Microsoft Online Upgrade, so once customers have completed the online Microsoft Upgrade, they should visit www.acer.com/windows8upgrade and follow the link to the claim page. Here the customer will be asked to provide information to confirm they have completed the Microsoft Upgrade Program and to identify themselves and their product. Once this has been verified and the customer has met the requirements, Acer will then refund the customer for the online cost of the Microsoft Upgrade Process. Full terms and conditions are available at www.acer.com/windows8upgrade.
Acer will be promoting all of these offers on Acer local websites, in retail stores and on the websites of our retail partners to ensure all of our customers are aware and able to take advantage. The promotion will be offered in the following countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa: Austria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, and Ukraine. Acer customers who wish to take advantage of the upgrade offer must submit redemption requests during the application period, open from Windows 8 General Availability date March 15, 2013.
