RIYADH — Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) and Belgacom International Carrier Services (BICS) of Belgium discussed ways of cooperation in the field of telecommunication, Mobily said in a statement Monday. The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mobily Khalid Al Kaf welcomed the CEO of BICS Daniel Kurgan at his office Sunday, and they also evaluated the current and future developments for the telecommunication industry worldwide and in the Middle East in particular. Al Kaf dicussed Mobily's vision on the reality of the telecommunication sector in the Kingdom as well as the growth in the services provided. He pointed out Mobily's efforts to strengthen cooperation with global telecoms through submarine and terrestrial cable networks that links the east side to the west side and vice-versa, as well as exchanging experiences in providing advanced communication services. He also mentioned the successful launch of the fourth generation through (LTE TD) presented in the Kingdom as the first telecommunication company providing such services. Moreover, AlKaf said Mobily began implementing its new vision “Innovate your World” creating differentiation from competitors and positioning itself clearly and strongly in a highly competitive sector.
