He said the TV model is for those who are looking for entertainment, as it displays a big image with high resolution similar to that in cinemas. The Sony Bravia 84-inch LED TV is expected to receive a big response due to the high purchasing power of citizens in the Kingdom. Market studies confirmed that the Sony Bravia 84-inch LED TV will attract many customers. Speaking to the Saudi Gazette, Sugiyama added that selecting Saudi Arabia to display the new product reflects the importance of this market for Sony. It is the most important market for Sony in the Middle East and Africa. Sugiyama disclosed that Sony sales in Saudi Arabia are the highest in the world. “This is reflected by the Kingdom's share in the market. We are striving to introduce after-sales home service so as to reach the biggest number of clients with our partners in Saudi Arabia, Modern Electronics Company – one of the companies of Al-Faisaliah Group and the sole agent for Sony products in Saudi Arabia. We are trying to achieve this through consultation and coordination with Badr Al-Swailim, Managing Director, Modern Electronics Company and Makayama, Executive Sales and Marketing Manager in the company,” Sugiyama added. Sugiyama further said that Sony's research centers have made new innovations that will be disclosed next year in a big launch. This will bring Sony's share of the market to its proper level that suits Sony's status, adding that the big launch will be in 2013 for Sony telephones. “The Saudi market is one of the biggest for Sony mobiles and it is one of the biggest targeted markets in the world,” Sugiyama noted.
