DAMMAM – The Inter-Zonal Finals of the second Peevees Cup Inter-School Sub-Junior Football Tournament will be held at Euro Village in Al-Khobar on Thursday and Friday. The final stage of the championship, which is being organized by the Peeves Group of Schools in Saudi Arabia, will see six teams in action including last year's champion Al-Wurood International School Jeddah. The two-day championship will kick off with the opening match between host Al-Khozama International School Dammam and Al-Yasmin International School Riyadh at 7.30 A.M. Thursday. The event will be inaugurated by A.M. Ashraf, GM of Peevees Group of Schools in the Kingdom. In the second match, champion Al-Wurrod International School Jeddah will take on Indian International School Dammam. The other two teams vying for honors are Indian International School Jubail and Yara International School Riyadh, who have been directly seeded into the semifinals. Peevees Group of Schools has been bringing reputed soccer coaches from India to impart intensive training for the students of their schools in the Kingdom. Last year former Calicut Univeristy coach C.P.M. Usman Koya trained the boys and this year former Indian goalkeeper and former Calicut University coach Victor Manjila is here on his second trip to train the students and is assisting the host Al-Khozama School in conducting the championship.
