Healthy weekend fun

Finally, it is Thursday, your favorite day of the week! If your idea of weekend fun has usually involved being glued to the television or computer games or PlayStation, or eating out at fancy restaurants, or sitting on an exciting roller coaster at the amusement park, it is time to change your ways. Try out fun activities that are actually good for your body and can be a form of healthy exercise that will make your heart and lungs stronger, keep your weight at a healthy number, and make you feel energetic.
Encourage your family to go to any of these places this weekend.
Iceland in Jeddah
The ice-skating ring here is the largest in Jeddah, and did you know that one hour of ice-skating burns around 400 calories? It is fun, challenging, and it sure beats watching television.
Tahlia Street Park in Jeddah
At this park everyone can have a great time. The younger kids will love playing in the sand, or on the slides, swings, trampoline, and jumping castle. If you are the elder sibling, you can try driving one of the three-wheel motorcycles or join a game of soccer or race with friends and family.
Sails Island Restaurant in Jeddah
While your mom and dad enjoy the beautiful view of the Red Sea and relax over a cup of tea, you can swim and splash in the pools and water slides at this amazing restaurant. It has plenty of twirling slides that you can skid down and dive straight into the pool, and there are massive water guns you can aim at your friends. Swimming moves all muscles of your body and is an excellent exercise.
Nemo Garden Restaurant & Café in Jeddah
This restaurant has tasty food for the whole family and also a large, clean swimming pool and playground for the children. It may just turn out to be your family's favorite weekend spot.
Salam Park in Riyadh
This spacious and beautiful green park looks like it is a place in Europe or Canada. You are surrounded by trees, fields of green grass, and a small lake in the center of the park. You can ride on a peddling boat which will be fun but also hard work on your legs. When you plan to spend the day there with your family, be sure to take your bicycle, skates, or scooter because there are lots of paths and trails to use.
