MADINAH – Madinah police have arrested three Asians who stole SR226,000 from two safes in a bookstore in Madinah. They got inside the store after smashing a glass door. They cracked open the safes using advanced equipment, which confirmed that they were professional thieves. Investigators headed by Maj. Gen. Saud Al-Ahmadi, director, found that the thieves got to the safes without breaking or smashing anything except the front door of the bookstore. The thieves were arrested shortly after the theft. They confessed to police that they had broken into three apartments and stole laptops, cell phones and jewelry and stolen SR10,000 from a store.
