Syed Mussarat Khalil JEDDAH – Pakistani singer Saleem Javed entertained an audience of about 500 with his melodious renditions at the Golden Tulip hotel here Thursday. Popular for his folk music “Jugni," Javed was accompanied by other local singers — Rafei Khan, Abdul Rafai, Amjad Baig, Aziz, Naeem and Taimur Shahid — in the six-hour long musical show. The show was hosted by Amir Mohammad Khan who wished the Pakistani community on the occasion of the Pakistan Defense Day and highlighted its importance. Khan also spoke about the Saudi National Day scheduled to take place in two weeks, requesting the audience to pray for the prosperity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and pray for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah.
