Ace Travel defeated JCL Executive Committee comfortably in festival match which was organized as a JCL (Jeddah Cricket league) season opener at the JCL Complex in Obhur last Thursday. Ace Travel skipper Mubashir called it right during the toss against JCL President Shahid Amin and opted to bat first. Ace Travel which hoped to put up a massive total with a formidable batting line up was superble restricted by young and emerging medium fast bowler Assadullah who wrecked the batting. Ace Travel tallied 150 for 8 in the allotted 16 overs. Akram made 60 and Abdul Rehman and Khalid also contributed to their respectable tally. The travellers were encouraged by none other than their Vice President Ashfaq Ahmed who graced the occasion. In response, JCL office-bearers were limited to just 90 in 16 overs and it lost the match by 60 runs. A glittering ceremony was followed after the match. Shahid Amin thanked the sponsor Ace Travel and presented its Vice President Ashfaq Ahmed with a memento.
