Saudi Gazette report ABHA — The total number of students who have enrolled in King Khaled University (KKU) in Abha and who will attend classes from next Saturday has reached 24,875, an increase of 55 percent compared to last year. “The university understands the needs of students in the region and it is a great honor to accept more students whenever the university's facilities permit. In this regard, the university abides by the directives of the leadership and the region's Emir, Prince Faisal Bin Khaled. This also offers me a unique opportunity to congratulate the new group of students who have enrolled in the university's various colleges to contribute to the progress of their country in all walks of life," said Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Dawood, the university's president. Dr. Ahmad Tahir, deputy president for postgraduate studies and research, said, “The Postgraduate Studies and Research Department has expanded admissions in master's and doctoral programs." He said the number of students who have enrolled this year in the university's postgraduate programs has reached 926, a 50 percent jump compared to last year. Dr. Saeed Dajam, dean of admissions and registrations, said the university has simplified the admission procedures for undergraduate students, both male and female. It has enabled them to complete the admission procedures through the university's website.
