RIYADH — Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation, chaired by Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal and vice chaired by Princess Ameerah Al-Taweel, who is also the secretary general of the Foundation, supported the well-known TV show “Khawater 8,” produced and hosted by Ahmad Al-Shugairi in partnership with Aram Charity Foundation to promote community development through collaborative philanthropy. Alwaleed Foundation has sponsored a number of charitable and voluntary projects in healthcare, housing and environment protection, implemented by Aram locally and globally through “Khawater”. Those projects include cleaning the Jeddah beach and renovating the houses of needy families. This has been done by a collaborative effort of youth volunteers. The Foundation has also supported housing and kindergarten projects in a number of African countries in partnership with multinational volunteer groups. “Khawater 8” is aimed at promoting the spirit of constructive competition between youth volunteers to serve humanity. — SG
