Taweel, Vice Chairwoman of Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation, which is chaired by Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz, has been ranked fourth on CEO Middle East magazine's list of the 100 Most Powerful Arab Women in 2012. Princess Ameerah was the most high profile newcomer to the list and was recognized for her work in philanthropy across the globe. Princess Ameerah supports a wide range of humanitarian interests in both Saudi Arabia and around the world through her work at the Alwaleed Foundation. During the last year, Princess Ameerah has established two initiatives to support youth entrepreneurs and volunteers. She also joined the Board of Trustees of Silatech, an international youth employment organization with a focus on youth empowerment in the Arab world through the creation of jobs and greater economic opportunities, and by working to find new and innovative approaches to the challenges of unemployment in the region. She has also been involved in disaster recovery, interfaith dialogue and women's empowerment. Princess Ameerah has been honored by many organizations for her efforts to protect human rights and improve the lives of young people and women. She has been a key figure in philanthropy in Saudi Arabia and the region. She was awarded the “Woman Personality of the Year 2012” for the 11th Middle East Women Leaders Awards on this year's International Women's Day. In 2010, the Princess received the ITP Special “Humanitarian Award” on behalf of the Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation at the Arabian Business Achievement Awards ceremony.
