Nada Al-Maddah Saudi Gazette MAKKAH – As part of its ongoing efforts to fight and eradicate negative phenomena in Makkah, Ajiad Municipality arrested nine illegal workers Wednesday for selling stolen goods inside Guden Gada market on Al-Mansour Street. Inspectors from the departments of markets and foodstuff monitoring in the municipality raided the market with the help of police, said Abdul Aziz Al-Saqabi, Director of Ajiad Municipality. “Loads of stolen merchandise including electronic devices, clothes and miscellaneous items were confiscated.” Guden Gada is an illegal market where stolen goods are sold and is run by illegal workers. Residents called on authorities to do more and said selling and buying activities resume in the market a few hours after raid operations by police and municipalities take place.
