The ceremony was followed by an Iftar dinner hosted by the captain of the ship, Capt. Rahat Ahmad Awan. The naval ship is in the Kingdom on a goodwill cum training mission. A large number of officials from the Royal Saudi Naval Force and notable residents from Dammam and surrounding areas attended the dinner. Rear Admiral Abdulaziz Abdullah Al-Shaban, Commandant Technical Institute of Naval Sciences, was the chief guest. PNS Tippu Sultan arrived in Dammam on July 28 on a goodwill cum training mission. Gp Capt. Athar Shams, Naval and Air Attache, senior officials from Royal Saudi Naval Forces and Dammam Port received the ship.
