Two ships of the Indian Navy, INS Delhi and INS Aditya, of the Indian Western Fleet will arrive at Jeddah Islamic Port and pay a friendly goodwill visit to the Kingdom from May 22-25, with their Fleet Commander, Rear Admiral SPS Cheema, AVSM, NM on board. INS Delhi is being commanded by Captain L V Sarat Babu, NM and INS Aditya is being commanded by Captain Sanjiv Raj Kapoor. The last goodwill visit to the Kingdom was undertaken by two Indian naval ships, INS Rajput and INS Betwa to Al-Jubail in August 2007. This visit was reciprocated by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, wherein HMS Dammam and HMS Yanbu made their first ever visit to India (Mumbai in July 2008). The friendly goodwill visit of INS Delhi and INS Aditya will be important in the further development and strengthening of the historical and friendly partnership between the Republic of India and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
