JEDDAH – The 85th terrorist on the wanted list, Adnan Muhammad Ali Al-Sayegh, called the Prince Muhammad Bin Naif Center for Advice and Care and said that he wanted to return to the Kingdom and surrender, the security spokesman of the Ministry of Interior announced. Saudi security authorities coordinated with their Yemeni counterparts and arranged Al-Sayegh's return to the country with his Yemeni wife. Upon arrival, he was received by some of his family members. Al-Sayegh will be treated as per proper procedures, the security spokesman said, pointing out that his initiative to turn himself in will be taken into consideration. Al-Sayegh was repatriated from Guantanamo Bay in 2006, but he joined a terrorist group abroad. His name was put on the wanted list in 2009. In his phone call, he talked about how he was duped into joining the terrorist group. He expressed deep regret for his actions and said he wanted to return to the country and turn himself in to security authorities. In its statement, the Ministry of Interior has called again upon those who joined terrorist groups abroad to come to their senses like Al-Sayegh and surrender. Last year, the Interior Ministry issued a new list of 47 most-wanted Saudi terrorists linked to Al-Qaeda. All of them are outside of the Kingdom and Riyadh has submitted their names to Interpol seeking their arrest. – SG/SPA
