Badar Al-RashidiMansour Al-Shehri Okaz/Saudi GazetteRIYADH – An agent for the National Anti-Narcotics Committee died while chasing a drug dealer in Tabuk. Lt. Col. Ibrahim Abu Haleel, spokesman for his unit, said agent Badar Al-Rashidi, 24, was killed when the drug dealer opened fire at the anti-narcotics team pursuing him. “When the drug dealer realized our team was closing in on him, he got into his home and started shooting at them. One bullet hit Badar in his left eye." Badar was rushed to King Khalid Hospital where attempts to save his life failed. Badar's father said the news of his son's death was broken to him on the second day of Ramadan. “My son died a martyr's death in defense of his precious country. We're ready to sacrifice our souls to protect this country," said his father. “Badar was always courageous, polite, and honest." Badar was the oldest son of Rakhi Al-Rashidi and was building a small house next to his parents to live with his future wife. He was born and raised in south Hail, where his father lived in a small house with three sons and four daughters. Badar financially supported his mother and lived with his brothers.
