Abdul Rahman Al-Ali Saudi Gazette JEDDAH – Trackers have helped Jeddah police in the arrests of suspects who stole 125 sheep from a barn outside the city. Police sent forensic experts to lift fingerprints off the crime scene and trackers to trail the thieves. Officials in charge of sheep markets in various towns in the province were notified of the theft and asked to closely watch suspicious selling activity. Police used the information provided by the trackers to find the culprits who turned out to be illegal Yemeni immigrants. They were trying to sell the stolen sheep to a livestock trader who had no idea the sheep were stolen. The thieves would have made SR125,000 if they sold the sheep, said Jeddah police spokesman First Lt. Nawaf Al-Bouq. He warned citizens against sheltering illegal immigrants who might prove a security threat.
